Nuisance

If you experience nuisance from your neighbors or in your area, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Discuss the nuisance with your neighbors

If you experience a nuisance from your neighbors, please contact them and let them know that you are experiencing a nuisance. Often they are not aware of it themselves. In our experience, the neighbors usually don't do it on purpose and a good conversation will solve the problem. Try to make agreements so that you cause as little nuisance as possible and try to agree on practical measures to improve the situation.

Condominiums often have housing regulations or bylaws, which you can request from DR Management. It states whether or not rules are being broken. If adjustments to your home need to be made to remedy the nuisance, please contact us.

If you experience nuisance that does not concern your neighbours, you can skip step 1.

Step 2: Keep a log

There is only nuisance if you regularly suffer. You must be able to prove this, so keep a log. In the log you write when you have nuisance and what kind of nuisance. Record the sound or create footage so you can prove it.

Step 3: Report it to DR Management

If the problem has not been resolved mutually and rules set out in the house rules are being violated, please report this to us. We will contact the VvE to see what the options are and possibly engage a mediator.
